In 2001, for the second time in its history, Oscar Film Unit made a serious attempt to move from 16mm to 35mm exhibition with the publication of the so-called 35mm Document (here reproduced in PDF as a close facsimile of the version issued, minus its cover).
There's not a lot that needs to be said by way of introduction to the not-very-timely response (it was almost three years later), except that, if you ever were an OFU member, or even if you've ever really cared about something passionately in your life, then this document makes for heartbreaking reading.
